Idea
Light is a quiet story of two people meeting. A cold winter street, a large empty hall and an encounter after which the world gets warmer. The video does not explain feelings with words; it shows them through space and light.
Visual language
Most of it was shot in the Herzen Library: tall windows, white curtains, long tables and card catalogues give the frame air and strict symmetry. They are answered by scenes in the dark lit with purple neon and a room with a projector, where the image falls right onto the characters. Cold winter against warm inner light: the whole video rests on that contrast.
Production
Starring Ustinya Araslanova and Shakhlar Mamedov. Gaffer Alexander Shikhalev, sound design Ivan Pesternikov, beat by AYO ENVY, mix by SKVAZHINA.
The video came out on Prominal's channel in May 2022 and has more than 4 thousand views.
